20-Hour Group Experience

The 20-hour group experience is designed for graduate counseling students seeking to complete their prerequisite for Counseling 8270 and 8370.  The group experience offers a unique combination of existential theory, mindbody awareness, and cognitive restructuring to aid in a deeper awareness of the self.  Through experiential awareness, graduate students will learn:

*How your state of being drives behaviors

*Emotional awareness through the physical body

*How trusting your intuition can guide your daily life

*To remove emotional blocks that keep you stuck in old behavior patterns

*The dynamic power of feeling-centered processing toward change through
 the use of sandtray, art play, projection, mindfulness, mindbody tracking, meditation/guided imagery.

Lisa has been facilitating the 20-hour group experience for graduate counseling students for over 12 years and has taught at the graduate level as adjunct faculty at the University of Nebraska Omaha.  She provides a  compassionate  and accepting style to her therapy for members to explore the universal themes in life that connect us all and combines both alternative models of healing firmly rooted in Eastern Psychological principles with traditional western modalities.  
Life Without Stress

This 8-week experiential course takes a holistic and integrated approach to understanding the true nature of anxiety and explores the dynamic power each of us holds to move our bodies and minds to a natural state of calm.  In this ever-changing, fast-paced world, this group is a must for anyone who wants to get back to the basics of simple living.  

Week 1:  Everyone has a personal anxiety pattern.   What is your unique pattern and what does is say about you?

Week 2:  The hidden messages of anxiety: Understanding the language of your physical body.  

Week 3:  Emotional blocks:  How do your core beliefs reinforce a life of anxiety?

Week 4:  Energy blocks:  Harnessing the power of your mindbody toward a state of calm.

Week 5:  The role of adrenal fatigue, thyroid overload, and hormonal imbalance in anxiety.

Week 6:  Balancing the anxious mind.

Week 7:   Balancing the anxious body.

Week 8:   Balancing the anxious spirit.

Group begins on December 1, 2011, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30.  Call to reserve a seat.  Fee:  $35.00 per session or save $80.00 when you pay in full.
